How can the melt pump be installed more convenient?

1. It is recommended that the suction pipe should be self filled and the suction end of the melt pump is lower than the lowest level of the liquid storage tank. If the suction lift type must be installed, the foot valve must be installed at the inlet of the suction pipe. The maximum allowable suction height must be calculated according to the specific pipeline conditions.

2, it is recommended to install filters in the suction line for inspection and cleaning. At the same time, there must be necessary cut-off valve and pipe connection for future maintenance.

3, the pulsation buffer and safety valve must be installed in the outlet piping of the melt pump. If the pressure is less than 3Bar, it is recommended to install back pressure valve to avoid siphon phenomenon.

4, suction pipe diameter must be greater than the metering pump inlet valve size. The diameter of the metering pump must be taken into account when determining the diameter of the pipe, such as the peak flow rate, the length of the pipeline and the viscosity of the material. When the outlet pipeline is not equipped with a pulsating buffer, the diameter of the tube must be determined according to the selection of the suction diameter.

5, motor connection must refer to motor nameplate and operation manual.

6, open the driving box cover, add the lubricating oil into the box, and oil level to the bottom of the worm bearing.

7, adjust the stroke to 100%, and keep the piston forward position. Remove the exhaust valve located on the pump head and add hydraulic oil from the exhaust port to the pump head until it is filled. The pressure relief valve is reset. The remaining hydraulic oil is poured into the hydraulic tank.

8, disconnect the melt pump outlet pipe, or open the pipeline exhaust valve.

9. Adjust the stroke to 0%. Start metering pump, to identify whether there is abnormal noise in the pump body.

10, gradually adjust the stroke to 100%. At the same time, according to the requirements of the operation instructions, the oil filling valve in the hydraulic tank is adjusted to keep the oil valve core up to 1 millimeters of movement. Observe whether there is material delivery at the outlet of the metering pump, and the flow rate varies with stroke adjustment. When the stroke changes, the filling valve must be adjusted accordingly.

11. Close the exhaust valve or connect the outlet pipe and add material to the system.
